What you need

No PC yet? Open the App and turn on Demo mode to explore the interface with a simulated flight.

Getting connected

  1. Install and open BaySim Bridge on your Windows PC. It shows its network address and a QR code.
  2. Open BaySim FlightPad on your iPad.
  3. Connect using any of these methods:
    • Automatic — the App discovers the bridge on your network; just tap Connect.
    • QR code — tap to scan, then point the camera at the QR code shown by the bridge.
    • Manual — enter the IP address displayed by the bridge.
  4. Start a flight in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Your aircraft appears on the map.

Troubleshooting

The App can't find the bridge
  • Make sure the iPad and the PC are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Confirm that BaySim Bridge is open and running on the PC.
  • Allow the Local Network permission when the App asks for it (or enable it later in iOS Settings → BaySim FlightPad).
  • The installer opens firewall port 9000 automatically. If you run third-party security software, allow BaySim Bridge through it.
  • Still stuck? Enter the bridge's IP address manually, or use the QR code.
"Local Network" permission

The App needs this permission to reach BaySim Bridge on your Wi-Fi. If you declined it earlier, enable it in iOS Settings → BaySim FlightPad → Local Network.

Telemetry isn't updating
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator must be running and in an active flight, not on a menu.
  • Check that the bridge shows a connected / ready state.
Teleport doesn't work
  • You must be in an active flight in the simulator (not paused or in a menu).
  • Make sure the bridge is connected and the App is showing live telemetry.
Does it work with MSFS 2024?

Yes. The App communicates only over the local network, so it works with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.

Camera / QR code

The camera is used only to read the connection QR code shown by the bridge. No photos or video are captured or stored.
